Update, 02/04/20 , the update includes new limiter instances that fix a crackle in the latest N4 (these are marked v1.2). Also the clipper is now all sample rates in one!

 

 

Vintage Vari-mu limiter

This is a very smooth limiter, that handles material with ease!

Approx time constants 0.6ms attack, release 300ms, dual release includes a second longer release with a long  charge time.

Features-

• Two Units, 1/2 Unit 2 has slightly slower time constants
• Limiter features Single and Dual release
• Two threshold levels to choose from. -10 is for lower level material.
• Variable Hpf filter
• Stereo unit 1 and 2 preamp /mono preamp
• Clipper
• Jpn n3 and n4 skins

Note: The the input and output must be used for control of the threshold point. Start by adding a small amount of input slowly and decrease output and repeat to increase limiting.

Each instance works well on its own, for example most of the work comes from the limiting instance. However if authenticity is required this is a Suggested  chain-

Graphics meter tip for n4 , regarding flickering, use a lower ledspeed found in n4’s xml, for example <LEDSPEED> 1 </LEDSPEED>.
